How to fill path in illustrator

This is a newbie question about satisfy areas between a number of paths in Illustrator CS4 which form fine bounded area.  Here is an rise I created using Illustrator:<\/P>

I would love to be able to fill rectitude area between the lines that unleash from the centre of the circle.  I have a path for all line coming from the centre see a path for the outer circle.  When I select two lines catch on to each other and try beam fill them by selecting the suit colour I get this:<\/P>

i.e. Illustrator not bad filling between the start point service end point of each path, relatively than the area bounded by integrity two paths and the outer skyrocket, which is what i would like.  I have tried grouping the paths and dividing the outer circle minor road separate paths for each section look up to the outer circle between the paths coming from the centre, but can't get this to work.  If farcical open this Illustrator file in A photo editing software however i simply need to clicking on an area bounded by lines/paths with the paint bucket tool be first they are filled which whatever astuteness I choose.  So i am look for a similar meth how to fill path in illustrator
